CAVITATION

Ultrasonic or ultrasound cavitation is the use of ultrasound technology to break down fat cells below the skin. It is a non-surgical method of reducing cellulite and localized fat. This procedure involves applying pressure on fat cells through ultrasonic vibration.

The broken-down fat cells go from the body to the liver where they are excreted as waste. This method of treatment is used along with other weight loss programs to help with getting rid of excessive fat. It is a preferred method to other invasive procedures of eliminating body fat. It is important to note that your weight could return if you consume a high-calorie diet.

Since the procedure is customized according to an individual’s needs, it might take longer for some than others. However, the standard treatment should be completed in one to three sessions with two weeks between every session depending on the treatment. Each session is around 45 to 75 minutes. It takes about 6 to 12 weeks to see the results of ultrasonic cavitation.

How does it work?

An ultrasound device similar to that used in pregnancy scans is applied to the targeted area, along with a specially designed cream. This device transmits concentrated levels of ultrasonic energy that target and destroy subcutaneous fat cells in the fat cell membrane. The fat is then dispersed into surrounding cells and recycled into proteins and glycerol.

What are the benefits of fat cavitation treatment?

Unlike liposuction (which can be a daunting and extreme option for many), cavitation is the perfect fat reduction treatment for those that do not want to take any excessive measures.

It is safe, non-surgical, and requires no recovery time.

It’s also one of the only technologies available that can show you results as effective as those you expect from liposuction or surgery, provided you complete the recommended number of sessions (usually between 8-12).

RADIO FREQUENCY

Radio Frequency is a revolutionary treatment that firms, tightens and lifts the skin, all without having to go under the knife. The treatment is non-invasive so it is ideal for those who either don’t want, or do not believe they are old enough for surgical procedures. Unlike other ‘non-surgical face-lift’ treatments on the market, radio frequency actually stimulates the skin’s own natural renewal of collagen, resulting in smoother, tighter and younger looking skin. And the best thing is – Radio Frequency delivers great, visible results from the very first treatment. The treatment is suitable for everybody, especially those looking to target fine lines and wrinkles or excess skin.

Radio Frequency is a relaxing treatment that involves the application of a cosmetic gel and a warm wand passing over the skin in sweeping circular motions. The wand gently heats the lower levels of the skin to approximately 40°c; this tricks the brain into thinking there has been a potential injury and stimulates a healing response. This in turn causes increased collagen production and tightening of elastin fibres. The tightening of elastin fibres is instant meaning the skin appears tighter and lifted from the first treatment. The gentle heat also promotes fat cell reduction. A course of 6 treatments is recommended for optimum results. Ideally this should be 2 treatments per week for 3 weeks. After completion of your course it is recommended to have a maintenance session every 4-6 weeks. You will continue to see results for up to 3 months after the treatment course has ended. This is perfectly normal as it can take the collagen time to reproduce. The results of Radio Frequency can last for up to 2 years.

HOT/ COLD HAMMER

The hot and cold hammer is used as a facial treatment and massage tool, with both sides of the hammer head reaching different temperatures (one hot, one cold) simultaneously. The hot side of the hammer relaxes and opens pores while stimulating blood circulation beneath the skin. The cold side soothes tired and overheated skin, and closes pores while locking moisture into the skin. The hot hammer opens facial pores so they can be cleansed of debris, toxins, excess oil and bacteria. The cold hammer helps tighten the skin, which promotes elasticity while smoothing wrinkles and crow’s’ feet.

Cold Hammer Minimum Temperature: ~52° F / ~11° C
Hot Hammer Minimum Temperature: ~120° F / ~49° C

MICROCURRENT PHOTON

Microcurrent facials tighten and smooth the muscles and connective tissues in the face by increasing cellular activity, and have been shown to reduce wrinkles, mostly around the forehead area. Microcurrent is a low-level current that mimics the body’s natural ionic flow and has been clinically tested to safely and effectively address a variety of skin concerns. Because microcurrent works virtually without sensation, the treatment is soothing and most clients feel nothing at all. Microcurrent treatments are popular in the beauty industry for providing both instant and cumulative results.

Microcurrent is capable of facial stimulation, sending soft, gentle waves through the skin and down to the facial muscles. This gentle wave of energy is nearly identical to your body’s natural ionic flow and has been shown to increase ATP (bodies cellular energy) concentration up to 400%, while simultaneously stimulating protein synthesis and promoting amino acid transport.

ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is the main energy fuel source for our cells and is needed for muscle contraction and relaxation. It also encourages the production of key structural proteins, such as collagen which acts like a scaffolding to support the skin’s structure and elastin that provides the recoil necessary within the skin to snap back into place.

As we age, our skin’s natural ability to manufacture these protein fibers reduces, giving way to the multiple signs of aging. ATP’s increased production of proteins and amino acids during facial stimulation helps to energize and tone facial muscles over time – just like how exercise energizes and strengthens the muscles of our body. Unlike anywhere else on the body, the facial muscles are directly connected to the skin, so the result of energizing the muscle is often improved, providing a smooth and lifted appearance.
